just off I-70 up on lookout mountain is the gravesite of buffalo bill cody, and the buffalo bill museum. i intended to stop just to see the grave, ended up spending a fascinating 2 hours. well worth the $5 admision
after the cody mudeum i drove west on I-70 to georgetown, co, and after lunch break, rode the georgetown loop railroad, an remnant of an old mining railroad from the days of the silver mines in the area
after riding the georgetown railroad i went over loveland pass on my way to dillon for the night. went right by arapahoe basin and keystone ski areas. i skiied both years ago.
after i stopped in dilon and checked in to my hotel. i went for a circle shaped drive out to state bridge, across a 22 mile gravel road along the colorado river to kremmling and then back to dillon at dark to spend the night
